I understand why many artists are uneasy about the rise of AI. But as someone who feels aesthetically cut off from most of the media produced in 2025, I look forward to a time when we can make our own. These days, I mostly watch independent creators on YouTube, older films on the Criterion Channel and TCM, and British programming on BritBox. With Google's latest release, the future of entertainment feels a little closer.
